Cheers Choppa !

I'm happy it's done and also really pleased that the canopy came out better than I thought it would after the repair. I'm glad now that I didn't throw my toys out and bun after it hit the floor

Thanks Jas !

Look how big those tyres are mate, they remind of the episode of amazing stories where the b-17 undercarriage gets shot off and the belly gunner is trapped in the turret and he draws a picture of the plane with cartoon wheels lol

Pete

I just read that back and without punctuation it reminds me of Amercan Pie

Thanks Steve ,

I got as far as cutting a bit of 1/2 inch MDF for the base, I still need to finish the figures and Flak gun, I will get round to finishing the base but it will end up,as generic airfield for photographing my ww2 builds on

Thanks mate,

If it had happened to another member I would have told them to stick with it, so I'm ashamed that I was ready to bin it but I think that was just a knee jerk reaction to seeing it in bits on the floor (I was gutted) but you are right one should always try

Thanks Neil,

The way I distressed the paint job in this one was a bit of an experiment but it worked out in the end.
There is such a huge expanse of surface area on this model and not a great deal of surface detail, so it needed some help to stop it looking too monotone, I did think it might come out looking really weatherbeaten but it looks used but not abused I think

Pete, my apologies for my absence. I have picked up your build from just before the crash and a big well done on your recovery and result.
That mishap would've tested anyone, I think I would've just walked out and shut the door. lol
The mottling effect on your paintwork looks fantastic. Same colour scheme as the Stuka, don't the German colours look brilliant?
Looking forward to your reveal pics. Getting a few over the finishing line now. [smile]
