I think the topic says it all......

Any kit, any subject, any time frame as long as it's 1/32 scale or bigger.  I have a few kits in my stash to decide from including a tamiya P-51 Mustang and Spitfire MkIX.  Can't wait to see what other BIG kits you guys decide to build.

1/32 is an ideal scale for armoured vehicles in preference to 1/35. Both Airfix and Monogram produced military vehicles in this scale many years ago. I built the Airfix Grant and have several Airfix and a Monogram kits in the loft unbuilt. Unfortunately Tamiya flooded the market with 1/35 models and this became the accepted scale. There was a company called Nichimo who produced 1/30 German tanks which were superb and only let down by the rubber tracks of the time, although I did built a few of those and personally believe that 1/30 is the best scale for military vehicles, not too big and not too small.
But there you go.

My thought with this group build proposal was to build something larger then normal.  In my opinion, the norm being 1/48 for aircraft, 1/35 for armour and 1/24 for cars.  Let me consider how I can reword the proposal so that all categories are covered.

Thanks

Tim

"Any kit, any subject, any time frame as long as it's 1/35 scale or bigger" [biggrin]

Like it. Have built an alarming stash of 1/32 even though 1/48 the norm for me. [rolleyes]

I've got a Williams Brothers P-35A that would work for this.

Don’t like big scales. And I think modelling is about subject, not scale.

I just found a vintage 1/32 Revell P38-J That I'd love to toss onto this GB if it gets picked. [biggrin]

For me, I can't decide between the mustang or spitfire.... I have both waiting to be built.  I'm leaning towards the spitfire because I can't decide and don't have decals for the mustang yet.

choice will be made by early January, really looking forward to getting started.
