Hello Guys,

All new here but couldn't resist to be part of your GB. So if it's cool i'll be part of it for the great fun of building a kit among you.

Chosen subject is the very nice Torpedo-Bomber : TBF 1-C AVENGER

Out-Of-the-Box or not, still asking myself, aftermarket prices for that scale is killer. [crazy]

The kit is on it's way, specially ordered for the GB. [wink] Might be in the house in a week.

Don't know if i'll manage to finish the TBF on schedule since i have started the F-111. Time will tell.

Will post pics as soon as i have it on the bench.

Good to have you in the group build Pepper and nice to see another big scale kit, I have seen this kit built up at shows and it's a really nice model, definitely one of trumpeters better kits, tons of detail in the cockpit too.

Looking foward to seeing you make a start mate and good luck with the build

Yep, great to have you on board Dr Pepper! Nice Avenger too, another Trumpeter, another 1:32. Nice work.
Look forward to seeing your progress.
Oh, and are you doing a build thread of the F-111?? Would definitely love to see that. [smile]

Hey nice signature art work too!!

Hello,
Thank you Gents, really happy to be in too.

The kit is on the bench ( Woohooo [smile]&nbsp[wink], received the TBF this afternoon. My heart couldn't slow down until i opened the box. I propose that we un-box the bags together. That bird is big and at first sight everything is looking clean and crispy. No ejection pins, no flash and no sink marks. But will confirm this when i'll take the pics from the un-bagged frets. Going to build her OOB, only afterM. for the turret .50cal barrel ( RB Model  32AB01 ).

Will post more ASAP !

Wow very nice surface detail looks awesome...is that a sink mark in the engine cowling? or just a shadow?

Wow the detail on that is awesome Laurent!
I thought the Stuka was pretty nice (it is) but the rivet detail is much higher in this one.
Rivets on the turrets look wicked too. Very nice kit.

Hi Neil, Eduardo and Simon.
Yes details are really cool ! The kit is worth the money [thumb].
Yes that is indeed a sink mark AND a joint mark on the upper side of the ring next to the cowl flaps. But the Curtiss Wright engine is really nice ; maybe i'll open a couple of panels. Will see....

That's a lot of assembly, and detail in that engine. I really need to get a 1/32 kit with one of these big radial engines in it. They look like a lot of fun.
