Hello,

Thank you Ted ! All the pleasure is mine. [smile] I'm really happy you enjoyed. Presenting the WIP is quite taking a bit of time.

Last update on the Avenger (or Tarpon). I have to say that this scale is great ; with a minimum of references you can appreciate adding details. It's fun and refreshing. Should make a nice painting canvas with the hope not to screw everything up ! We'll see...

I gave the "Grumman 150SE ball turret" a go. According to the pics i have she's not 100% accurate. But in my build max accuracy is not the goal/point.

Tail gear and fitting :

Looking great !

The office and the bomb bay ready for the torpedo :

And texturing the exhaust pipes :

Hi,

Thank you Gentlemen ! All pleasure is mine.

Last updates : started paintings and first steps of weathering. Sorry for white balance on pics, hard to manage with my old Sony coolpix...

Added a few more Bits'n pieces

Mixed the Zinc chromate. xf3 + xf5 1,5:1 and for base version 1:1. (no washes, pin-washes or filters) Will do a highlighting version.

Started with the ball-turret, dry-brushed. Metal paint is Mr.Hobby 218, polished (difficult to render on pics, sorry...)

Cockpit main panel. Tried to get a very worn effect. Nato-black on gloss black, salt technique. Dry-brushed. No Micro kristal clear (no washes, pin-washes or filters)

And then moved on to the office decks. Dry-brushed. (no washes, pin-washes or filters)

Next step : inside the fuselage.

Thanks for watching ! [wink]

I'm using 0,5mm lead wire and 0,25 brass wire. [smile]

Your work is just gorgeous Pepper. You have a talent for capturing subtle tone differences very well. I agree with the guys. You have a precision in your work that is something most of us struggle with. It's nice having you with us here.  [biggrin]

Wonder work on the Big Avenger's interior and the ball turret. Nothing like a tough warbird from the Iron Works Gang at Bethpage.
Keep 'em coming
Peter
