Wow...absolutely amazing! It's so inspiring to look at your work, wish I had half of those skills!

This is amazingly good looking. You could stop right there and still be a top gun winner! But please don't listen to me, can't wait for what you are up to with the exterior:-)

Hello,

Thank you a lot gents for your kind comments ! Appreciate a lot !

Last major update : two half glued together, wings and blobs too. A LOT of sanding work done, re-scribing, re-riveting and preparing the surfaces for the natural metal finish. Big engine and cockpit masking session is to come.

I love your work!!!!
Gorgeous! Even if you don't finish this, I'd still consider it if I had to choose a winner. Your work is so clean!

Cheers guys ! [thumb]

Yes, painting is for very soon [smile] Can't wait to be there !

BUT before messing with the Avenger around i decided to make some tests. Test bed is a 1/48 Tamiya F4U Corsair, in all Natural Metal Finish with painted nose art, like what's planned for my Avenger...called the "TURKEY SPIRIT" [wink]

Besides i'm learning to use the Alclad stuff and believe me, i'm having hard times with the dust/static electricity. Gonna wire myself and the kit to the ground !!! [wink]

Trying out the Alclad references, and testing a laminated duralumin panels effect :

After the metal painting i started the chipping process : 2 layers chipped for the depth. First layer is Khaki drab base and second layer is the same Khaki with white 2:1. i used the AK Worn Effects acrylic fluid between each Tamiya xf51 thinned 1:1 with the lacquer thinner. Happy with the result though i need to go a bit further in the testings.

Thanks for checking in.
