Pickt up my lightning model yesterday just waiting for some more money to get the extras now then will start build.



And after visiting the lightning stand for inspiration I have decided to try and depict the lightning there on display so fingers crossed, here's a pic of what I'll try to recreate .

On the bench
1/48 Airfix BAE T1 Hawk will this ever be finished
1/100 Tamiya BAC Lightning Mk6 (Group Build)
1/144 F16 (Filling in the gaps while waiting for the others to dry)
1/48 Kitech Type 90 tank (something different will be watching Bobby's video again )

First time I've done something like this going to be fun fingers crossed

Going to get the wheal wells, cockpit,seat,generater, and the after market decals if I can find them

That is some great inspiration to work from! Best wishes on the whole project. If you post any more pictures of that Lightening at the museum, we will look at them and enjoy it greatly....hint hint? thanks!

I am glad that you posted more of the walk around shots. they are excellent and have to be the best for reference since you also got to examine the actual plane!

I noticed that the museum Lightening has the fuel tanks on top of the wing. Are you going with that version? just curious.

Yes will try and replicate the exact display , am building a basic lighning as a tester at the moment
