Okay so the first for shots of the build, as I said the kit comes with a Brassin Resin Martin Baker Mk12 Ejector seat. It comes on 2 frets, the seat and then chute and cushions on the other, there is then some eduard printed etch to add. The seat detail itself is pretty much spot on when you compare it to the real thing. The seat is built more or less straight from the box, with a couple of bits of lead wire added. I cut it from the fret with a Micro saw, with a quick sand to smooth the bottom. There is one piece of etch to add before adding the cushions I gave the seat a light grey undercoat and then sprayed the back and side with Vallejo Black matt acrylic. I then started putting in a few colours, the seat cushions in green, with 4 shades of highlights and shadow. Pick out a few of the elements out in green and blue, and started highlight some of the edges. I used quite a high contrast because the seat will mostly be in shadow in the cockpit. Pipe work is painted with citadel Iron After the base coats are done I gave the whole seat a gloss varnish and then added the decals and etched belts. Then another gloss coat to seal the decals. I added a small amount of Dark panel wash, but only on a few areas, the overall dark colour make any more pointless. Finished seat, just needs a cockpit to sit in

Should have added Built the GR7 just recently. I got a lot of help from their web site and also from individuals who are members.http://www.harriersig.org.uk/ They were a great help in sorting out the bomb loads which were quite complicated for the Afghnistan theatre I chose to follow..

Thanks for the replies gents, Laurie loved your Harrier! I hear what you say about the Afgan loadouts, not sure about the final fit, but I have some ideas for the display that might get round not being able to fit all the weapons. I started on the cockpit tub this weekend... The detail in the kit is really good, but rear firewall is missing a set of switches and I think some kind of hydraulic accumulator. I have started to add these in and the associated wiring. I have also cut off the 2 displays from the instrument panel ready for the pre painted ones supplied with the kit. We have the electricians in rewiring our entire house from tomorrow (urghhhh), so the kits boxed away for a week or so.

OMG the seat and cockpit are blowing me away! The detail so far is spectacular. I’ve got a harrier in the stash and you know what happens when you see someone build a similar kit. Styrene envy!!🤣😂🤣

Nice work. Harriers are such a cool airframe. Recently watched the Harrier sequences from the movie “True Lies”.

Ted
I have always had a soft spot for Harriers, it's a really cool aircraft.
We have a Pegasus engine at work, I'll take some pictures tomorrow and post them.
