Just flaps and open canopy, rest will be closed. Like the clean shape of this plane :-)

Had a little gap along the wingroots. Hopefully this closes them a little...

Actually I did have a slight gap too. Nothing a bit of mr dissolved putty and a wet cotton bud didn't sort.

On with round two of stencils now!

Well, it is the decals that put more detail, more color, and additional character on a kit that would be very difficult to do by hand in most all cases.

Time for a small update. Was working on the seats... yes, both of them :-). I have build the kit seat with all the PE and the brassin one with the fabric belts for comparison.

Kind of hard to tell which is the resin one, isn't it?
From the side you can clearly see the extra detail, but installed in the cockpit it will be hidden anyway.

Almost ready for some primer :-)

Seat looks great! Or seats rather!

Kit part is really good, a little chunky but more than passable.

Pitot is a good addition for such a delicate part.

I buckled and ordered a resin fod set, standing pilot, ground crew, missile trolley and because my colour way is from a training school I decided to go for some r-60 training missiles rather than the kit supplied 'live' stores.

Bit more than I wanted to spend on the full build but I dropped some cash on a scratch card so thought I would treat myself!

Really looking forward to seeing the rest of your build bud

Another question too ... did you try the pritt stick for the seatbelt or go with superglue again ?

Only money well spent if I can do them justice! Not painted figures since I was about 12! Pics will pop up when I get them [smile]

Also I tend to use superglue formy etch but really need to try pritt-stick as I hate how messy superglue can be.
