Been told this last night actually. Need to find a way to reduce the size as I'm working from my phone. Would normally whip them through photoshop to resize.

Hey, pictures are fine now :-). I can see your exhaust problem... shouldn't be to hard to fix, just be careful with masking. Decals and masking tape are a very "sensitive" combination :-/. Better to not mask over them at all to avoid ripping them of together with the tape. Learned this the hard way ;-)

Quite a big update!

Over the last few days I finished all decals and stencils and sealed with future. Got a panel line wash on it this evening and I'm really happy with how it looks. Not going to do too much more weathering (bar some light scratching, oil leaks and stains etc)

Also managed to get the landing gear in some light grey base colour, built up the stores and got them into some colour too. Spdr units have a bit of wear on them as per my ref pic, the fuel tank will also have some chipping on them too as I believe they were only painted silver.

Not sure if I will install the spdr units as the seams look a bit pants TBH.

Most important though is the ladder [smile]

And last but not least I made a start on a base for my diorama, I used an old scaffolding board I had in the shed and lightly sanded it, smoothed the corners and put a coat of varnish on, it's looking pretty (let's say) rustic which is kinda the look I was going for. Will leave pics of that until I get round to building the dio.

What's left to do then?

Canopy needs painting (masked and ready to go)

Wheels and landing gear needs finishing

Gear doors etc need to be sealed and weathered.

Ancillaries, aerials and pitot need painting ready to install

Pylons and stores need finishing and decals applied

Have I missed anything?

All in all it's been a good few days for building.

I have ordered a fod and diorama set for the aircraft, a weapon trolley and also a resin pilot to stand by the stairs (another first!)

Also caves and bought myself an eduard draken too!

[smile] happy building guys really loving looking through everyone's builds, loads of inspiration that makes me want to build, and I mean that as I just packed my gear away at 2am!

Looking great and will look even better with all the small details and the diorama still to come. I can see you're enjoying this build :-)
Btw, nice correction of the exhaust mate.

Cheers man.

It's done the job hey, TBH I need to get more accurate with my masking. When I think I have it lined up perfectly it's not when it's in paint, I will forgive myself seeing as it's my first airbrushing adventure and if you should learn something new from every build.

See if this is better.

One of the reasons I fell in love with the 21 is this static display at RAF Cosford museum, they have an awesome mig-15 too!
