Pilot is done [smile]

Actually quite happy with it for a first attempt. Face may be a little muddy but I don't mind it so much

Colours haven't come out great on pics used Tamiya field blue for the flying suit and khaki drab for the vest.

Decided to bin off the diorama accessories for this build. Just the ladder to finish really then I think I'm done.

Don't really know what to do about the weapons though. Might come back to it with a fresh mind after some more building (see Cold War progess for eduard draken)

A little update.

Decided to try these training missiles again but those bloody stabilisers were so tiny I just couldn't get them looking good (pic on left) decided to modify the kit missiles instead and even though they're not strictly accurate they arnt too bad and will look better with the decals in place.

Just these and the pylons to paint up and then I will be done.

Cheers guys

Finally got those "weapons" done!

Found some more suitable donors to convert into the training missiles, they should have a clear nose (for the IR lock on) but this will have to do, overall I'm pretty happy how they turned out.

The kit pylons were fine and the resin rails were beautiful but the supplied decals for the kit part were a nightmare! All decals on one decal so the carrier film covered the whole pylon, in fact more than covered it because the overhang was crazy! ended up cutting into smaller sections which had its own issues. Never mind it's done now! Just got to bust out the camera and get some decent final shots done, when I get a chance!

Cheers guys

Oh totally forgot...

Finally got the ladder done too [smile]

And it's all sat on a nice base by Noy's miniatures as I was too lazy to finish the base especially as the plinth I made warped [smile]
