I wouldn't be too worried about the preshading. I too was worried that I overdid the preshading, but it turned out that I actually could have used a bit more. It's a really nice technique because you can completely wipe it out of you don't like it. Hang in there. GG

Finally painted. Have new found respect for you guys with your camo work. Masking was a sod. Ended up using Vallejo masking fluid to do the green. Had some rough edges that needed touching up. Have feather the edges since photo and I think the roundels will cover most of it. Modest post shading, These thing never saw action to my knowledge and were fairly new off production as well, so I'm not going OTT with weathering. Is closing midnight of the third? I don't think I'm going to make it and I don't want to rush it now. Now to get it sealed when fully dry and start decaling. __________________ 1/24 Peterbilt 378

I do this kind of thing all the time. Seems like my patience for doing non-essential items is bottomless, then I muck it up on important things. Still looks nice. Those three colors together really pop. Best wishes as you finish up. Small update. Pin wash done, not too bad as it turns out, doesn't show very well in photos. I believe if I'm right, i now have to seal this with a thin coat, then do my exhaust, gun and radiator trails. Got to crack on as the lightning build starts next Wednesday and I ain't gonna miss the deadline for that!!! __________________ 1/24 Peterbilt 378

Finished, at least I thought! My first aircraft for thirty-five years or more and first 'proper' build....ever. After the photos I realised that I haven't done the red and green wing tip lights (Duh!), or sprayed the cockpit colour on the wind screen before priming. Ah well! live and learn. Any comments, helpful or otherwise gratefully received. Funny, I could have sworn the entry door was in the correct place when I glued it __________________ 1/24 Peterbilt 378
