I wasn,t active before, but i find that this GB is a great way to say HELLO to all of you I started modelling exactly one year ago, and this website and ofc Bobby thought me a lot! ;D This GB is also a good way to finally start my Spit ZX-6 project. So at first i would say a few words about it I come from Poland (and my English is comunicative but not fluent so don`t punish me for a mistakes ), and there was a lot of brilliant Polish pilots in RAF services during WW2. One of them was Stanislaw Skalski- the first Allied fighter Ace. He became Commander of the 145sqdn RAF, 1943 North Africa. That squadron was called "Skalski`s Circus", and his Spitfire from that sqdn was his most famous Spit, and ofc it`s the theme of my project So let`s start it! Built is OOB, I`m using Eduard 1/48 Spitfire Mk.IXc early version kit (weekend edition), adding only Techmod decals. I quickly build up the cockpit, painted with Mr.Color IGG C364. It`s well detailed, i used decals as a dials and i`m ok with the final effetct Now it`s time to close up fuselage and join the wings.

I found a few more imperfections after filling joints, so i sanded them down and then i rescribed faded panel lines and rivets. Next step was to do exhausts, as they had to be glued before engine cover. I primed them in flat black, next i apllied AK Dark Steel pigment on the tubes Then i added some fresh rust pigment (my own mix from dry pastels) And the final step was the old rust pigment in a few places (again my own mix) and tone it down by Tamiya smoke X-19. Then i gave it a flat coat to protect and fade the effect. The bottom one is close to the real effect (Photos still by phone ) Now they are safety in place, covered by Maskol At the end i`m going to add some fresh rust pigment, but not too much So dirty jobs are finished right now, and now it`s painting time Spit gets a coat of Mr. color C8 as a primer, now i can see the final results of filling, sanding, rescribing and riveting, and i have to say that it doesn`t look bad I gave it a coat of a hairspray, as i want to scratch him a little It`s first time when i`m using Hairspray method, but i did tests on the spare parts and they fare well. Last what i`ve done is change the needle in airbrush for the 0.2 one- it`s time for preshading now A good news for You- i found sollution for camera blurring and photos will be better for now
