This was a kit I wanted to do as a quick build and then focus mainly on the NMF.  I used Vallejo Metal Colors....Aluminum, Chrome, Dull Aluminum and Steel.  The steel is in the back areas and I wasn't really happy with that color, only finding out after removing a bunch of masking tape.

The process was prime with Tamiya X1 thinned with Lacquer thinner.  Then painted on the metal colors.  I then used Testors Lacquer Gloss to seal in the paint, only to have that eat through some of the areas.  We'll call it "weathering".  Lol.

I had a decal rip on me and I didn't notice until it was on the model.  "CE" of US AIR FORCE was damaged and so I painted the "CE" portion of it.

Thanks a great looking Starfighter! The iron is indeed a little dark but overall very cool metal effects. Never dared to try a NMF myself. It’s time to give it a try :-)
