We rejoin the hornet in a state of being clamped for a couple of days

This was my first attempt at roughing the IP in paint came back tonight and proceeded to dump an entire pot of brand new Tamiya XF3 yellow into the cockpit! How do you even do that?

Here it is after a re do, you can still see the yellow in the rear tub area. I also got a giant stain on my brand new cutting matt i just bought last night.

Next up some ejector seat work

Heres my attempt at the ejector seat. I used Tamiya tape to make some seat belts. Will need to dry overnight then i will overcoat to hide the super glue marks.

Then i turned my attention to this...

This is what I came up with after watching all the seasoned veteren builders...

Going to leave that clamped up over night, will leave you with a last look at my beaty of a yellow paint line

I feel you pain with the paint dump. Once upon a time I dumped a container of black on my mat and various model parts. It was also a new mat. when I put some thinner down to clean the paint off with, it took the printing off the matt also! That is a bonfide scale model battle scar.

Hey, the videos are good. well lit, sound is good, and the colors are good too. 3 for 3. one video worth many paragraphs of text. Looks like the office will be fine despite the paint accident.

Great to have another Hornet in the nest! And another Red Devils bird as well. Looking great so far. Keep at it, a bit difficult to get everything aligned but it will come together a treat with a bit of care and attention to detail.

Cheers!

Got some work done this holiday weekend. Side panels and intakes are looking better, I am trying to keep the sanding to a minimum as the detail is so fine I would hate to loose it all.

And another. Working on camera angles and framing, honestly had no idea the top of the lamp was in frame. I will try something new for the next update.
