Hello, been watching videos here for a while, but this is the first time I am working up the courage to enter in a build. This is one of the kits I am entering. The only aftermarket stuff I am using is a resin Mk7 ejection seat, and I am working on building one of every plane flown by VF-84 so I will be doing these aftermarkets I was able to track down on ebay.

My favorite carrier aircraft! I look forward for this build. I love those F-8C markings, some work to downgrade that E. I hope you can do this in time as you also have the Hornet.

What needs to be done to downgrade it? I may just go with the kit decals if it is too much. I like one of the schemes in the box anyway.

Nevermind, I looked it up. I think I am going to have to use the kit decals. That will be a significant modification and I am not sure I have the skill to accomplish that in the time I have left, which kind of sucks. Hopefully someone will release a new tool of the C in the near future, because I really want to use those decals.

I think that it is too much to hope for C-version, I have Platz 1/144 F-8H (C) and those decals, I'll really have to do that soon.

It is better to do proper C and take the time that it needs. Do that with decals that came with the kit if you liked that too. You can't have too many Crusaders!

Not sure which one you have. I think there is a really old Hasegawa kit with raised panel lines and a newer one with them recessed. This is the newer of the two molds.
