Good to see you finally got your delivery. Should be impressive once finished and indeed nice scratch bulding. Definitely going to follow this one as this is on my wishlist.

Good luck,
Wim.

It's no coincidence. There's probably a lot of shared parts on the IP thanks to the collaboration of Bell Helicopters and Boeing. In terms of design the osprey is probably most similar to the Chinook, especially towards the rear.

I've heard this kit is a bear to squeeze together. Hopefully it doesn't prove to be too much for you. I'm watching with interest, as I'd like to do one myself. Great looking work on the IP rework.

thanks guys,

felling a bit better this morning so thought i'd update the thread.

got the cockpit all painted up and weathered, the keen eyed among you will spot that the seat belts I made have gone.  I wasn't 100% happy with them so I ordered a couple of Eduard fabric sets that should arrive today. (correction, have just arrived)

then I got to work on the wheel wells which were lacking in detail

DSC_0024.jpg

I cut out the top half of the door as this will give a bit more viewing access for the interior which I plan to put a lot of detail into.

and finally, I started working on closing up the huge void in the inside of the fuselage which the OOB parts do not cover up.
I'm probably going to ditch all the OOB interior detail and make my own parts for in there.

forgot to mention, the back of the instrument panel has a leather cover that I have represented with some kitchen foil stuck to the surface and painted.
