Very nice work, I'm liking the black basing technique it shows a really mottled look to the paintwork just like natural wear and tear

Yeah, I'm pretty pleased with the look of it. Maybe I try it on the F-18 too :-)

Thank you Ted! Testing new techniques is always nice and so it's all okay. If I can push on with this build I maybe have time to throw in a nice little WWII fighter :-).

Sorry, I've been a little preoccupied with my new dangerous hobby but I will definitely be making some time for The Fat Angry Farmer soon [smile]

"Héhé, how is it up there? "

glorious !
one could say it elevates ones mood [biggrin]

still in one bit though, no major injuries to report sir !! [wink] [biggrin] [biggrin]
plus, I am learning from my many mistakes,
luckily I am managing to keep them relatively small, one step at a time and all that [smile]

plus no angry farmers to contend with, although one was rather nice about me flying from his field, though he made it quite clear that no more until after the harvest etc. etc. but he was really nice about though, unlike some other farmers haha [biggrin]

However, poor weather this week so I might get some bench time [smile]

Masking time :-). I use the white Tamiya masking tape for curves to make the basic shape. Works very nice and easy. It will be a hard edge between the colors but according to my references that should be okay.

Right, through the stretch it's easy to bend into soft curves :-)

I really rate the white tape, obviously the thinner the tape the easier to curve. Comes in handy for canopy masking [smile]
