I decide to sart working on my first tank in my favorite scale 1/48. I choose M4A1 Sherman.
Obligatory box art of this kit.

For now after couple hours I finished with almost complete tank. The kit goes together very well with no problem at all.

That's all for my site for now. I think next week I will start painting phase. Stay on touch.
Cheers

Hello Again
After Long brake.
I primed my tank using Tamiya XF-1 flat black. Here it is after priming. Next week I have plan to start painting them using olive brab color. Sorry for pure quality of the pictures.

And next I painting my Sherman using Tamiya Olive Drab, then I've done some post shading using Olive Drab paint mixed with Tamiya Buff and this are the results. I hope you will like it [smile]

Next step will be to put gloss coat and paint some small bits.
Cheers

I just noticed that you primed the tank with Tamiya Flat black XF-1. this is step one in a technique I have been reading about recently. It is called double diffusion or forced contrast, depending on whose article you read. seems that this is a common technique in Armour finishes? I have been following Bob's Challenger build and I think it looks great.

I am anxious to see the next pics on this finish!!
