Lol this will be the 8th time I've built this kit since I was a kid! I think my skills have improved a lot since then lol.

The last one I built for my oldest son was straight OOB and turned out okay. I've already begun scratch building in the pit.

I'm going to try making the canopy functional like I did with my last Spitfire. I'm also going to be scribing the engine panels like I did on my Spit as well.

We'll see how well I can pull this off, eh?

This is the going quite well so far. Just a little accentuating on the floor, an armored plate behind the pilot, and the back seat cushion.




Already this is a massive improvement. Now I will direct my attention the pit walls. Lots of space for gadgetry in there! [smile]

...is some "rivet" ing work.

Once these dry I'll mushroom the heads with a little heat. Voila! Rivets.

Magic rivets:




You just have to cut them down to a uniform height to keep them the same size. The length is what determines how big the heads are.

I think that's why I like these old Revell kits, they are like a blank canvas [biggrin]
