Hello Folks

This is my second entry to the GB for Carrier-Based Aircraft. This time I choose from my stash another kit from Tamiya A-1H Skyraider in motorized version. I not decide yet witch markings from the box I choose, but for sure I will build my with the electric motor inside. For this kit I also will use the Eduard PE part set for the cockpit and for exterior details. Here is the picture with sprues and the box art.

Next week I will start working on that kit.
Cheers

I actually had been thinking of doing this one also but the one in my stash is the Vietnam airforce version and I couldn't find a Navy version on short notice. It is one of my favourites.

Anyway, these things were notoriously dirty so you can go nuts with the weathering. When you think you overdid it, you're probably only half way :-P

Have fun with this one!
Wim.

Hello Again

Second update:

I finally complete working on my cockpit. Nothing special just some PE part such as seat belts and some dry brush using citadel silver. I add some color to the switches to living up the cockpit. I also start working on the engine. I bring it to live using oil dark dirt wash. I have plan to add some led wire to the engine. Here are some pictures of my progress[smile]
Cockpit:

I have the book about the Skyraider but If you can I will be very appreciate if you send me the article.

Thanks till next time
Cheers

Yea that is the original Issue of the kit with the motor. Tamiya took the motor out years ago.

Hello Guys

Next update on my site:

During the weekend i finally finished working on the engine for my Skyraider. I added some led wire to detail and weathered it using MIG dark brown oil wash.
Here it is:

I also start working on the fuselage. Glued two half's it together and add horizontal stabilizers. I also start working on the flaps and wings. Here is progress so far. [smile]

Cheers
