Everything you have heard about this kit is true.  Beautiful fit, engineering, etc......it is all true.  It was one of those kits as you are assembling it you just have to smile because everything fits so well. I have built some great engineered kits like the Tamiya 32 scale Corsair Birdcage, ZM Japanese Raiden, etc and this kit is right up there with them!  Go and get yourself one today!

The last few days of the build I was in a hurry to finish because of a woman named "Irma".  The monster of a hurricane was headed for the Orlando, FL area and I was very nervous if I was going to have a home to come back to.  Thankfully the only damage I had was a few shingles missing.  Let's hope I can get a new roof with my insurance....

Thankfully all the models finished and in the stash survived...

Superb work, I hopei can domine justice, I have the Brensin extra cocpit but don't think you need it with this kit, so I have a Hobby Boss Tomcat and wonder if it will fit that, but again the Hobby Boss is a good kit too, I will postwhen i ever get to start modeling again soon, (disabity holding me back at the moment)
But seeing Build's like this I want to sit and start now, but i know i would mess it up due to Back Spasms, oh well back to the sofa for now [biggrin]

Very nice build Tom, love this bird. I have the Hasegawa one in my stash. Want to build this first before I treat myself on the Tamiya kit :-)

Beautiful work Tom. That is spot on! Glad you made it through the hurricane ok. I live in Rockledge, in Brevard county. We hunkered down for it. This one was worse than Mathew. Pretty scary. We only lost a couple shingles, screens and tree limbs. Lost water for half a day and power for 3. Much better than others faired. Keep up the great work! By the way, are you in the Orlando IPMS club? I am in Space Coast IPMS.

Hey Guys,

Just finished the same one tonight. I had not built a scale model since I was a teenager. Started watching Bobby Waldron's videos and got hooked again. Now that I'm older and could get all the right tools, it was a lot more fun. What a great hobby!

Jsharp67, congratulations on your build and finish. Those of us (talking about myself) who built models in the 60’s can well appreciate current kits and tools that are available. And we cannot forget the unlimited supply of aftermarket available. It’s mind boggling.

Thank you Ted! The Tamiya kit is exceedingly good. Well worth the money. I was skeptical about the decals at first because they seemed pretty thick, but they laid down nicely and really look painted on.

This one was actually practice for the 1:32 F-4 that I also have. I'll be occupied for quite a bit on that one.
