Hey Fella's, I know, not another Corsair. Sorry. This is my first contribution and group build. I recently finished reading Tom Blackburn's, book The Jolly Roger's. The story of
VF-17 I enjoyed the book so much I bought the model about a month ago. I thought that  this would be a good opportunity to build this kit and maybe put it in an island scene diorama.

Michael,

Another Corsair you say? no problem! that is a great kit and since you have been reading material on the squadron, its even more of a good choice. Besides, all of the Corsair builders can "help" one another as the WIP goes along. Glad to see you in the GB and glad to be here myself. CORSAIRS ROCK!

It would seem the Corsair is a popular model.

Me thinks this is going to be a good Group Build.

Nice one [wink]

It does look like there is a lot of love for the Corsair (and rightly so, it's a great plane)

Good luck with your build mate

No wonder you chose the Corsair. Read the book as well and it is an inspiration.

Good luck on the build!
Wim.

Hey guys, thanks for the kind words and support. Sorry, I don't have much free time to build and post, I work really early hours, but try to build and check out everybody's work when I can. Looks like everyone is really doing great. Nice to see the big turnout in this build.
Finally making some progress. I got the cockpit done, interior color sprayed and some primer done

For the instrument panel, I used the decal and used Micro Crystal Clear for the bezels. I salvaged some old fotoetche seat belts from an old project that didn't turn out so well.

Thanks for looking and keep up the good work everyone.

Michael,
Despite circumstances you have made great progress with very nice work. That cockpit is excellent! Looking really detailed and accurate!
