I made it, finished in time!

The Dauntless was available at the begining of the US entry to WWII. It was a major force at the battles of Coral Sea and at Midway. The Dauntless sunk more Japanese shipping than other aircraft.

The Airfix kit has raised panels and rivets and is from the 60's. Overall straightforward with minimal fit issues. The cockpit is pretty barren oob but can be improved nicely, although not well seen once completed. The decals are excellent. Overall a fun easy kit to build for little money.
Enjoy.

Thanks everyone for the encouragement to get this done in a short time. Next time hopefully I will get started a little sooner. Looking forward to seeing the rest of the entries and the next Group Build.
Steve

Lovely revival of an old model. You certainly have done a great job on this.

Really nice work, especially considering how fast you did it.

Thank you everyone. I appreciate the kind words. Sometimes the pressure of a deadline can be a positive motivator for good work. That being said, I don't plan on cutting it that close next time.
