Thanks for all the kind words.

After i had primed both kits, i found some areas that needed more attention. So i went back to filling, sanding and scribing. I even found panellines i have done, that do not belong at this place[confused]

I primed them again and then i added the pre-shading:

Then i sprayed the underside of the egyptian Spitfire with Azure Blue from Vallejo Model Air:

The israeli Spitfire i sprayed RAF Sky Grey on most of the underside. (picture will follow)

Next i will spray the top of both Spits. The egyptian will get a RAF desert camo and the israeli will get a green top with two panels in desert camo.

Main paintwork of the egyptian Spitfire is done. :

The top camo is my first try in doing a free hand camo. Colors used are H71 and H72 from Gunze. The id stripes are flat white and semi-gloss black from Tamiya. Next step will be decaling.

Most of the paintwork on the israeli Spitfire is done too. But i have to respray one area because i masked this area to early after painting and when i removed the masking tape i removed also some of the paintwork[eek]

Thanks for the kind words.

Today i finished the main paintwork on the israeli Spitfire. Here is the result:

I am not fully happy with the id band. I am still thinking about redoing it...

But for now both kits have received a coat of future. I will let this dry till tomorrow and then i will start decaling.

Ok. Decaling is done. Now i let them dry and tomorrow i will put on a next coat of future.

Tomorrow will be small part time. I have some gears to assemble and paint and other smaller parts to paint...

This build is now finished. The final reveal you can find here.

As last steps i made a wash and some weathering. Then i added the small parts and after that a layer of matt varnish. Then i unmasked the canopys and voila here they are:

I hope you liked this build.

Greetings
Enrico
