Hello all, This is gonna be my first GB on this forum. Iv recently moved house so the past few weeks Iv just been decorating and got no modelling done and worst of all Iv still no internet (oh the joys of moving to the country-side)

Before I could get any modelling done I had to sort out the new man-cave, Its the small bedroom so its nice a cozy.

Iv still to vent out the extractor, there is a vent above the bench so iv just to cut a few holes and I'm gonna put up shelves.

Now to get on with the sprue shots, there ain't much to the original kit but Eduard have added some very nice photo-etch parts and iv bought some quickboost resin gun barrels.

So I got to work last night, I had great intentions of get lots done but I just got the control panel sorted.
Here is the instructions for the first few steps.

The first few parts off the sprues, Note the difference it the plastic control yokes compared to the PE parts.

I used Zap-a-Gap medium to glue the the small parts on and Revell canopy glue to glue the control panel faces on (revell clear has a great grip and goes of very quick)

Thats all iv got done so far, Im gonna try get a good bit done tonight but will have to wait to get the internet going before I post more updates (im using the parents at the moments[biggrin])

Thanks for looking

Nice set up you have got there mate ! And a great plane too, looks like a nice choice of markings on the decal sheet have you decided which one you are going to do yet ?
The instrument panel looks really nice, loads of detail going into this one.

Good luck with your build

And I thought the B-24 was going to get forgotten in this GB. What major bomber are we still missing? B-29?

Eoin, glad to hear the move went well. Good to see one of your priorities is setting up the man-cave.

Nice model to join the Group Build with. Best of luck.

Hello all, iv been having internet problems still so iv not been able to upload photos, I have a few here now but I'm further along in the build even though iv kinda hit a wall with my mojo but I'll get back into it the weekend.

The inside walls of the cockpit and fuselage are covered in big ejector pin marks but thankfully they won't be seen (I hope) so I'm not gonna bother with them. The photo etch for the side was went in without a hitch but I had nothing but trouble spraying the model air interior green.

At the side gunners windows there is a bit of a shelf that had to be removed and replaced with PE so I just clipped some of it off and left a piece so I had some more surface to glue the PE part too.

That's all the photos I have for now, I've better quality ones on my camera waiting to be uploaded, I'll post ASAP

Thanks for looking

Good to see you back on this one Eoin, the Vallejo might of been a paint to spray but the colour looks bang on mate !
I know how you feel with the mojo too brother ! But it will come back, sometimes I find that just completing a small part of a kit (landing gear and wheels or some weapons) can help to give the mojo a kickstart

Nice to see you started painting. The instrument panel looks amazingly tiny and stuffed with detail, great work!
