I've ordered this kit and awaiting delivery, but my resin arrived today. So may be an unusual way to post my GB but I'll start showing the resin parts

I'd forgotten how small 1:72 is, good job I got my new prescription reading glasses last week [smile]

I was 12 when last built a 1:72 (43 years ago) and I found that model in my stash:

I have that Eduard 'Riders in the Sky' kit in my own stash.  You get a heck of a lot for your money.  As for the Spit, I'm amazed you still have any kits left from your childhood!

My mother loved the spitfire, she kept it. She died in February last year and I found it in her safe place, only reason I still have it 😊 Mums are the best for things like that

cant wait to see the kit, but that resin is going to add a lot to the build. Really cool that your mom kept that spitfire. looks like you did a great build and finish back then.

Vdbo76's excellent use of PE has inspired me to boost my interior with some PE, just ordered

https://www.hannants.co.uk/product/ED73647

Only going to use the stuff that will be easily visible, but some scratch building to inlude the underbelly hatch really appeals to me, especially as it will make some interior more visible.

This PE also gives me the option to have the side machine guns showing and give access to view the interior

Ordered from Hannant and I do like that when ordering Eduard PE you can view the PDF for instalation, shows you more of what you are really ordering [love]

One thing I have really noticed is PE and resin in 1:72 is a lot more expensive than 1:48 or 1:32 [confused]

Great addition, good luck with the PE and not to many “pings” ;-)

A 'Ping' is where you are cutting a tiny piece of p.e. from the fret, and it goes 'ping!' and disappears across the room in a blur of movement, never to be seen again!

I have Bobby's suggeated PE cutting bases and the holder, as long as I cover the piece with the holder = no pings.

but I usually fumble them and the carpet monster gets fed,

That monster loves PE and small poly bits

Prior to getting that cutting base and holder, I did have many "pings" so when I saw it on one of Bobby's builds............ I have to have one.

Some stuff he shows are just gadgets, but some is "I have to get one of those"
