I went to PM models yesterday to collect some models I'd won on the auction they did on Flory Model live the Friday before last.

After talking to Matt Ball he informed me I could contact Eduard and purchace a replacement sprue ๐Ÿ˜‰

I've contacted Eduard to enquire so hopefully this build may rise from the ashes like a Pheonix   ๐Ÿ˜‰

Fingers crossed they come up trumps. I've had good results with their customer care myself, so I imagine you'll get what you need too.

I got a reply from Eduard, they agreed to ship the sprue if I purchased anything from them. I'd also asked about a discontinued PE wheel well, they still can supply.

Ordered the PE and some more depth charges and my cockpit clear should arrive with it. The Hasagawa wheel well is really bad and any resin is as bad.........this was a concern to me as I'll be showing underside of the kit for bomb bay.

Fortunately when I spat my dummy with "I hate 1:72" I only broke the cockpit part ๐Ÿ˜‰

My GT3 build will require 2 x 5 day dry times for the 2K clear caot I'm using, chrome body requires a glass smooth base coat to get a mirror shine like the real cars that are wrapped in chrome film.

So with my new work station and lots of downtime I hope to manage myself better with this Liberator build and finish it........nearly ยฃ200 into it now

Hopefully no more glue spillage now ๐Ÿ˜‰

To help me manage a 1:72 model, I bought a new optivisor (only ยฃ8). Its so much lighter than my last and I can use the 3.5X lens without eye strain (only 2.5X on last one, right on image).

The old one weighed a ton, no wonder I got head aches

I'd explained that my dog had broken the clear part, yet this lovely lady is sending me a replacement sprue free of charge

her original email did say "maybe she could"   but this lady has replaced my broken part ๐Ÿ˜‰

Added this so you know the procedure,

Contact and explain problem

They just want you to order other parts and they free replace broken parts,

they even gave me access to a discontinued items site, where they still stocked an item I wanted (wheel well PE), I did say I was after the PE

They still stock discontinued, but you may need to  contact them

Too much waffle from me

I like Petra!  She sorted me out with a replacement decal sheet for my Hellcat.  I had the dual combo set, with all Royal Navy markings, and having built the first, I wanted to do a US navy one.  So, shamed to admit, I fibbed, and told her I bought the kit of eBay and it came without decals.  Lovely girl, she sent me a set right away, even though that particular Hellcat model was discontinued.
