As I mentioned before I bought this very crisp looking F-15 kit by G.W.H. As things are going well with my B-17 build I decided to start an other entry for this GB [smile].
The sprues are looking very nice and I the fit is okay this should be a tread to build. I did some reading about this kit and as I understood the decals are very thick and have a ton of carrier film. So I also both some aftermarket decals and a little PE set by Eduard. Whats also weird are the instruction. They come in loos sheets and repeat all lot of building steps, depending what option you build: closed or open canopy, gears up or down, etc. A little confusing but should be fine.

So here are the sprue shots:

The detain on that kit looks fantastic, you won't be needing Rosie the riveter ๐Ÿ˜‰

Good idea to go with aftermarket decals, even with Mr Hobby set and sol thick decals can be very difficult and those solutions are very strong and can attack your paintwork.

If I understand the GB rules right, you can do multiple builds but only enter one as a final reveal?

Nice ! i was hoping you would build it.

@ Keith no mate you can put as many as you want in, but you can only be in the final 3 with one

Finally weekend! I started working on the F-15 and as far as I can tell the fit and details of the kit is excellent. Iโ€™m busy with the cockpit and intakes, hope to be able to post some pictures by tomorrow.
I wish everything a relaxing weekend and well deserved benchtime ๐Ÿ˜Š

As mentioned before this kit is great fun to build. I finished the cockpit and happy how things are looking. Please notice the clever engineering by G.W.H. to avoid a seam line along the nose. Like it [smile]

Amazing interior, hard to believe it's 1/72.

I've built G.W.H 1/48 Su-35S and aside a few problem areas that's a great kit, this looks at least as good!

Have fun!

I think this GWH F-15 is the best F-15 kit in 1/72. Too sad they didnt make they other great 1/48 kits in 1/72. I would like to see MiG-29.

The fuselage went together without any issues. Again nice engineering how to join the nose section with the fuselage. The last picture is just proof that it is 1/72 scale, lol.
