Well at long last one done and dusted.
This has been an interesting build, not without it's disasters along the way (canopies).
The Ferris camouflage was very interesting to paint, and all details are on the step by step build.

So the kit...

...and the model.

More to follow...

Absolutely fantastic Nigel ! What a great way to display both sides of the camo, great paint, detail and finish, and the fired missile gives a real sense of action to it
Beautiful work on the terrain too mate

Stunning display and awesome modelling

Pete

Edit:
Does the stand rotate ? It looks like it does

Hi Pete,

Thanks for you comments, they mean a lot coming from you.
The base does rotate slowly, thought you might like the rocket firing, had to really make sure that didn't appear in any photos during the step by step build.

I know the canopy surround is not correct, but it works. Got the idea from the Tomcat F 14!

Have to close up now, meds are taking effect and am being told to wind things up.

Thanks again Pete, speak soon.

Wow Nige great work and that base is awesome!
Superb action shot from the underside showing the missile shooting off.

That base looks a bit war-gamie?

Wow! Wow! Wow!

Now that's a showstopper!

You guys just keep making Bobby's job all that much harder with every reveal. He has his work cut out for him in judging this GB.

Fantastic finish Nigel! Bravo!

Thank you all for your comments.
The pressure of this Group Build is quite immense. The models being built are so impressive, I agree that Bob has and very difficult job sorting out winners.
I think we are all winners, some of us have had to overcome difficulties along the way, from decals and intakes, to equipment breakdowns and new lessons learned, one of us even losing his mo-jo, and through it all we have had a great bit of fun and cemented friendships.

All I need to do now is get out of the ward and back at the worktop finishing my other Phantom.

Again thank you for comments.
Take care.
