This is my 2nd model in about 27ish years, It's also the first one I have finished, my 1:72 Challenger 2 is sat with just the undercoat on, my bad..

Hope you enjoy looking at these pics, I know the diorama is very basic, I didn't spend very much time doing the base, but all the ground crew equipment is scratch built and I had a very good time building it.

As for the Lightning it was in my stash an old kit I got free with some others I wanted, I put photo etch, decals and a resin cockpit in it, a scratch built engine and exhaust to name only the major changes.

If I was to do it again I would do it quite differently but It would have ended up nearly the same.

I love dioramas! Great work with scrathcbuilding and all! I don't have patience to do other than aircrafts, I have Hasegawas loading crew etc. but I don't have enough inspiration to get them finished.

The finished diorama looks great ! The details you made really set the scene well, love the lightning too, all the effort you put into it shows in the finished piece

Well done with the build. she looks great. Scratch build parts merge in well and diorama tells a dramatic story. 
Great finish.
