Hi all decided to enter this one, will be my second Gb here.... have had this one in the stash for some time and kept looking at it saying would give it go but kept dropping down the build pile , but now have a reason to build it.(mind do have many that could choose for this gb lol) this will be the first modern Russian jet ive built and first time attempted this sort of scheme so will be a learning curve.

The kit is from Italeri and it came with nose correction... have no reason why as comparing docent look much different, I also got a resin cockpit for it and the pain set which says Su-33 but seems to be the same colours....
plan to make a start as soon as the bench is clear..

as hoped to, I have now made a start on this all be it a small one.

started by giving the resin cockpit a black primer, removed the fuselage halves and cleaned them, then I cut the front blank cap off to make room for the resin nose.

got bit more done today in painting the pit, didn't go to doing to much detail as when dry fitted it found out that will not really be able to see anything so didn't see much point other than a few touches.
so cockpit was painted and dry fitted and cut the cowling (not sure what its called) off the front of the pit ready fro the a/m replacement.

Progress is progress and this is looking good! I have sweated over details and paint many times and then discovered I was going to cover it all up! LOL. Well, at least you know it is there and you will have pictures to show any work you do.

yeah know how mean but did intend doing a bit more hence why went for a/m cockpit but with the curved sides didn't realise how much is hidden, if out the side walls in there's no why they would be seen so leaving them off.
I do have the academy 1:48 kit which will do more on as is a big beast  lol
