Yes Fabian! You will love the new things that are possible! Ideas I've had stuck in my head for over 20 years are now possible lol.

Thanks Ted. Good to hear from you Bud!

I've been having some issue with mixing up my own colors so far though. They are either too thick or too thin. There doesn't seem to be a happy medium in the middle for some reason. I'm going to try some Valleo Model Air as soon as I can get to the local Comic/Gaming store. That seems to be the one bright jewel for modellers there lol. I'm going to have to find out how they will cooperate with my AB.

Anyways, I did a little detail work this morning.

I had to give the illusion of some depth in the wheel wells and this is what I've come up with so far. It works from a distance just fine. Not so much close up however. Meh, cheap old kit.  [tongue]

I decided to try some Indian artwork on my fighter. Yeah, I'm going Indian lol. Looks pretty cool.

Next up is some exhaust work. This is too much brown and I'm going to rust it up a little and then tone it back down with some black wash later.

That's all I have for now. Still killin' time til a new part shows up for the M-103 and I can continue with the working mantlet cover.

Loving this, I didn't realise you hadn't used an ab before, I use one all the time but not as an ab, in my youth I customized motorbikes and I just use the ab as a miniature spray gun (when I did custom spray jobs I used to spray cellulose paint in to a pot and use a brush, or use masks) so I am not at all skilled with an ab but you have done a great job with this.

Thanks Ken!! You really like it? [biggrin]

I've been brush painting for decades until now. Doesn't mean I'll ever give up the brushes, but this should make things easier by far lol. Normally, painting a 1/35 tank takes weeks lol.

Mike I did read this a while back and must've got distracted hence no vote on the bomb, I vote, sure why not?
Did Indians paint their bombs funny? lol You could do some Maharashi paint scheme on them or something. Lol!

lol no, I don't think they did. But I'm leaning towards putting a 500lb under it. I have one in the spares... box? It's an old holiday tin lol.

This is another one I have missed Mike, I don't know how I'm managing to let all these new builds slip past me !

Looks like you definitely have mastered control of the airbrush from the get go mate, you have got some nice tight demarcation going on this one.
I know you have already decided to go with the Indian markings but i wanted to say that they were the ones I would vote for .
And hell yeah Bomb this sucker up, give it a slick paint job like the spinner and hang it under the belly

This will be my victim.

I've got it puttied, sanded, and new fins fitted, but no recent pictures. I'm just hoping the fins stay straight.  :/

Fins are okay and mostly straight. I don't have a square to get this 100% so 90% will have to do this time.

I made a pylon and got the bomb attached temporarily. That's when I found that the fins were just a tad extreme lol.

Once the glue finally finishes curing I'll have a bit more to do with shaping those fins, but they'll clear just fine after I chopped down the enormity of them. I'm still envisioning how creative I'm going to get with the paint job on it. I could make it look like a cartoon bee, or I could paint flowers and designs all over it.  Hmm.... :?

Lol @flowers and designs. [smile] Hey go have a look at my Spitfire build thread Mike, got a nice close up of a scale 500 pounder to help with proportions.
Love the paint job on the bomb! lol

The decals scared me.

These are a couple of decades old and from a Matchbox kit.

But fortunately they dried clear. They are a tad thick though so the backings are clearly visible. Not sure how I'm going to calm that down.

Then I actually painted the bomb. lol. You guys will get a kick out of this...

I thought he looked like he was chasing the flower on the spinner lol! His face is a bit sideways, but not too bad. That was fun!

That's it for now. Tune in tomorrow when something else happens lol.

Thanks Peter!  [biggrin]  Aircraft are not my strong suit. I'm an Armor guy lol.  Besides, I'm dealing with a 1978 release kit that was turned into a snap kit and pre-painted in a blister pack. This is just me messing around. Even still, I don't think I am anywhere near where you and John are with my skill level in aircraft yet. Besides the Longbow I have a 1/72 Corsair that I've been doing a lot of scratch building on.

Thank you for the comments Peter. This one has been fun! But she's not finished yet lol.
