Hey, welcome to the group, Gadjung, and a terrific choice of kit.  The Gannet had, I believe, a unique engine, being the double Mamba turboprop, with contra-rotating propellers.  For cruising it could shut down one side (Half?) of the engine and save fuel, extending it's range.

On the subject of a Jap GB, I'm up for it.  I have these vintage bad boys in my stash, though, since I must return to work shortly, (Funds have run low, probably due to purchasing a 2001 Ford Mustang GT!) it'll take a long time to build whichever one I do.

Talking of things Japanese, if you're into anime, like I am, check this out.  I loved this series, simply because of the accurate rendering of the aircraft.  There are flashbacks in the series to WWII, and if you watch it, see how many warbirds you can identify.

Yes I will definitely vote for a Zero or anything Japanese! I really like anything Jap! I have done a lot of Japanese models and working
on 2 Jap models at the moment, a Zero and the Tony!

For the Jap scene, I'd like to build the Tamiya 1/32 Zero. See if I can get the undercarrage to work

Okey. Let's get back to business. Some minor assemblys done, lots of dryfitting and sanding. Fit is quite good as for short-run kit.
Next step will be priming and painting some parts and cockpit final assembly. It's too tight to paint in complete form.

Gannet starting to show fit issues. Nose cone has very bad fit, fuselage halves need some putty too. Wings from the other hand is surprisingly good. Also if I can, I would be definetly using aftermarket gears and wheels next time.
