5am oh dear I get up in 2 hours, but I have scratch built chocks for the wheels and a step ladder for the maintenance ground crew to get access to the engine. Sorry no build pic's was too busy to think about taking any.

Finally done the finishing touches to the Lightning, the odd bit of wire tape etc.

All that's left now is to assemble the diorama and take the final build shots....

See you soon

Rob

Thanks for the kind words Ted  [smile]

The ladder looks ok on the model, just about the correct amount of tatyness so I think I'll leave it and call it truly finished [biggrin]

Not sure if anyone but me noticed the oil leak and drip tray
[31]
The drip tray looks pretty good when its not under the model,
It's half full ok AK Interactive engine oil,
you can also see it running down the side of the lightning and some splashed out of the engine vent on this side.

Overall I'm quite pleased with how build looks, I think the weathering would have probably looked better on a 1:48 or 1:32 but It's still ok on my 1:72 [smile]

It's a really great diorama, lots of details and things going on, I didn't notice the drip tray before that's a nice touch ! Congrats on winning mate, well deserved ! you put a lot of work into this, and got a lovely finish to the whole build
