Your absolutely right Ted, thanks :-). But I like a nice challenge and getting out of the comfort zone helps to learn new things... I see you doing it all the time with great results!

EXACTLY! I try to do at least one "new" skill [new to me, not to anyone else of course] with each build. Since I am only a few kits in since I re-started the hobby, I figure that now is the time to try, fail, recover, push myself to learn /practice as much as possible. I hold this trite saying very close--"Each failure is a step closer to success". I also am a great believer in "standing on others shoulders" and advancing forth with their knowledge and proven techniques. Thats the way that many great discovery's and technology have come about. I have invented nothing new for this hobby, and as long as I was out of it--over 40yrs, I may never make a "new" breakthrough for the benefit of others. I keep looking at alternative techniques and materials. Best wishes!

OK. take a deep breath and don't anyone faint. I did a small bit of work on the Phantom this afternoon. I was at a stopping point with the corsair and I:

1.applied the canopy masks. not a free ride but pretty easy over the do it yourself.
2.checked on some panel line repair I did a good while back.

As I stated earlier, these masks were 1/2  the cost of the Eduards Masks. This is my first use of pre-cut canopy masks so we will see what happens. Do you always get exterior/interior masks??

I have worked on this area over and over. having a tough time with it.
