Well, here it is and i'm quite happy with it.

80+ hours of fiddly detailed painting has taught me so much.

My girlfriend bought this as she wanted a reminder of our flight to Australia last year. I did have to draw the line at adding the 555 passengers and 24 crew though.

It measures in at 50cm Length by 55cm Wingspan.

The kit cost £53.00 and I reckon I can add another £35.00 in consumables.

As its a static display it didn't seem right to do much weathering so I am going to do another model to enter i( Dambusters Lancaster Bomber with a dropped "Bouncing Bomb" on a diorama....MAYBE).

Anyway, here are some pics.

Absolutely fan-bloody-tastic, mate!  Looks like something you would see in a travel agent's window, it's so good.  Congratulations on being the first to finish in the group build, too.  Well done!

Nice looking bird, well done.[biggrin]  Not my cup of tea, I prefer my birds, more warlike with proper engines, not these turbocharges with the engine missing. Still, a very nice looking model, cannot take that away from you.  Looking at the model can't but feel sorry for all those ordinary mortals crammed in steerage at the back.

BEAUTIFUL! so crisp and clean in every detail--inside and out. The paint and decals are also a treat. Congratulations on a super finish--love all the pictures and the runway base.
