Not sure how I will remove the stubs from the rivets,
I'm sure I will figure it out before I need them though.
Anyway here is the progress today.

It's looking fantastic Ken, those rivets and nuts add a lot of detail and it looks spot on to the real thing now, do you have a Dremel or small motor tool ? one of those would do the job easily with a small cutting disc.
The binding on the springs looks very good too, this is really beginning to come together now, the added details are really kicking this build up a notch

I understand these car bodys were covered with cloth and am thinking of covering it with paper and painting that, do you think that would give a clothe effect finish.

Depends on the texture of the paper. I prefer napkins. They typically have a uniform pattern.

I'm blown away by the entire project. adding the figures is brilliant, but that is what you do!

I went through the thread again and that exhaust looks just like the one in my car. Overall the details you are adding are fantastic! This is one fine build and I'm really loving it.

Do you have any idea why they covered the body in cloth? Seems an odd choice for a car body and I'd like to know a little more about it if you have any info on it.

All of the added details are what is really making this car come to life. At first I thought some of your choices, like usual, were a little strange, but as things progress I see why you have done what you have done. The way you build is something unique and special. I can't get enough of it.  [smile]

Nope don't feel dumb I never mentioned why, personally I don't know why they didn't use fibre glass it was available then, but hey that's history.
