That engine looks legit! The wheels don't look bad at all either. I think they turned out pretty good actually.

I'm liking the work that has gone into this. You have a winner with this one Ken. [smile]

Hi all I am sure you all must be getting bored of this by now, but I think I'm on the last leg now.

I have got to admit those wheels really took the shine off it, I will be glad when it's done. Actually I can't wait to start my next dio, it will include a 1/6 Suzuki 1100 GSX and A 1/6 Honda CB750 4 if it turns out half as good as I'm imagining it will be awesome. But I really have to get some of my other builds out of the way first.

I understand exactly what you mean. You have those commissioned builds to complete first, and probably foremost. But it all does start to pile up as you go. Pete is running into the same issue right now as well.

Hi all another update, not long left on this build.
The trouble with all the sprues being in one bag together is that when they knock against each other bits fall off the sprue and you end up with a box full of loose bits. I have discovered that one of the mud guard stays is missing so have had to make one, being a reverse of the one I have it was quite confusing to do but I have managed.

also don't like the mesh over the lights so put some real mesh on them

Impressive. Making a reverse replica of another part is difficult at best. The pictures being upside-down is kinda disorientating though lol. Nice use of the mesh as well. I don't know about you, but I get a real sense of accomplishment when I find a clever way to make something look more realistic. I'm betting that's a high point for you as well since you do it even more than I do  [biggrin]

I know it's a bit of a let down and a bit disappointing, but its not down to the kit, its down to my modeling, so there it is, I cant do any better so I should be happy with it but i'm not.

Hi all I have decided to put this in the spares drawer as I can see lots of uses for the parts in other dios. Thanks for following along with the build and taking the time to look

I think it looks brilliant Ken, very nice job all round I reckon, and the final touches like the mesh on the lamp guards looks great. I'd be proud to have that on a shelf. But up to you. Oh and Lizzie is cutting some fine form there too, with respect your majesty. lol

I think that this is far too good to put in the drawer Ken, as modellers we are very critical of our own efforts and when building are up and close and personal to all of the mistakes and flaws.
But much of the time unless pointed out, no one but ourselves even notice them, I know this kit gave you some headaches along the way but you overcame all of them and I reckon that the finished project is a fantastic piece and definitely shouldn't be used for spares, don't be so hard on yourself mate.
Every build is a learning process for the next one buddy, for what it's worth I think you have bucket loads of skill and imagination, your Warspite diorama was inspired and the explosion effects are among the best I've seen on any model or diorama

Thanks guys if you think the warspite dio was imaginative wait till you see the bike dio. I have 2 very different ideas in my mind, can't decide between them but both of which I could keep adding more and more bikes to them, so they could end up being my bike display stand. If I can't decide I may have to ask you guys to pick for me.
