Bit of a side project this is going to be my 1/32 scale Revell Hunter pilots car, well maybe, have done a fair bit of upgrading on this one, carpeted the interior, remade the gear lever from fine wire and cyano plus made the gear lever gaiter from Milliputt, and reworked all the dashboard, added the brake lines and wiring for the plug leads, the coil and the battery, removed the moulded plastic mesh from the bonnet grille, and replaced with fine brass mesh, painted with British Leyland Tempest grey, and Tamiya gloss white with bare metal foil for the chrome side flash trim, still loads to do but having fun along the way.

Thanks for looking
Gary

Hey, that's neat! 1/32?? How many of these are in 1/32? I'm only familiar with 1/24.

Isn't that the car from Harry Potter? LOL wrong color, but looks similar.

Looking good Gary, don't see many of these on the road anymore, maybe when the sun comes out lol, the detailing on the engine is fantastic, Ithis will look great with the hunter.

Pete

Mike the Harry Potter car is a ford Anglia, it's a very similar shape to this one, but has more pronounced Fins on the back

Hi Mike , thanks for the comments mate, there are quiet a few or there were quiet a few in the series, some of the older ones change hands for as much as the real cars were back in their day, The MG magnette was 1 of them, a MK1 Ford Escort, the Lotus Ford Cortina ,Austin Maxi, MGC, E Type Jaguar. Triumph TR4, Bugatti Type 35, to name a few they did a whole veteran series including a Prince Henry Vauxhall and a 31,2 litre Bentley Blower. they were aimed at the slot car market because they could be converted very easily for use on Scalextrix
Thanks Pete I had a Vitesse back in the 80's swapped my ageing 1966 Triumph Bonneville for it, wish I still had either of them today.

Best wishes
Gary

I've not seen an early 80's model of a Ford Escort EVER. 1983 4Dr L was my first car. I'd love to see a kit of one!

I haven't seen a Vitesse for years, my sister in laws old boyfriend had a white one back in the early 90s but he only used it in the summer months, if he's still got it I imagine it's worth a few quid now
