Here are some images of the Canberra PR.9

Airfix 1/48
Eduard interior etch
Quickboost seat

Painted using Tamiya

Minimally (only really the wheel wells) Weathered with mig ammo products.

Nav windows using Krystal Klear

A bit of a difference from my usual weathered aircraft.

This build is dedicated to ex WO photographer Mick Gladwin who sadly passed away earlier this year, he was a Canberra fanatic who even wrote a book on them (and he lightning) he worked on them throughout various stages of his career as an RAF Photographer. Rest in Peace buddy!

This model will be heading off to cosford next month to take pride of place in the Air Recce Heritage room at the Defence School of photography.

Hope you enjoy

Excellent work in this build and finish. Its a different type of air-frame with the wide wing area and the offset canopy. Great details!

Cheers Fabian, was a labour of love!

Glad she's done and I can get back to the P-40 now (and possibly start another project)

Our scale models are like children. We spend a lot of time building them, correcting, modifying, and just praying everything turns out ok! Each step a trial! Your dedication of the build and placement of it was a very special aspect of the project.

Nice one! As always. And I have a question. What color is this? I'm looking to build 1/144 Victor, Desert Storm one, and he has similar color, which named as C338 HEMP. But HEMP is green, and this didn't look like green.

I actually used Tamiya xf-57 for the hemp and I think humbrol 167 for the barley grey.

The help is not 100% accurate but my bottle of humbrol 168 sprayed like crap so I ditched it and went with Tamiya.

I would have thought green from hemp too but that was actually the name of the colour the raf used, strange.

Just double check the victor was hemp and not desert pink (pretty sure it would have been hemp though)

Thanks! Problem is, that on the photo - Victor (tanker version) is desert pink! [biggrin] But color in instruction is HEMP, and HEMP not pink at all... [biggrin]

Just done s little look and the victor was one of only a couple to retain the hemp colour and wasn't repainted in desert pink.

That's a lovely build. I like the way the detail on the seat makes the cockpit come alive.
