Hello!
During this summer I got some inspiration back and built this kit after a few months away from the bench. A real simple kit to build, great fit and no issues what so ever (except that I managed to brake the rear part of the canopy while polishing it but that can't hardly be blamed on the kit [smile]).

"The PR.XIX was the last unarmed reconnaissance variant of the well-known Supermarine Spitfire. Totally 225 were built. Fifty of these were bought, nearly new and in excellent condition,  from the RAF in 1948. They were all provided  to the Reconnaissance Wing F 11 at Nyköping Their Swedish designation became S 31."(http://www.avrosys.nu/aircraft/Spaning/217s31/217S31.htm)

Made a small diorama with the plane flying low over two people taking their dog for a walk on a small dirt road in the woods. Tried many new techniques for this one: Re sculpting miniatures, emulate a spinning prop, working with celluclay and making fir trees out of branches and moss. Tough nothing came out perfect I must say I'm pleased with the result as a whole.

Thanks for reading!

Thanks! Used vallejo's P.R.U blue I think it comes pretty close according to the photos I've seen. Never seen one in real life though.

Thanks! I made the blurred prop in a similar way to this http://www.ratomodeling.com/articles/turning_props/

I'm quite happy with the result but looking at it now I think the blades are a bit too pronounced
