The ancient 60s Airfix kit with a few upgrades – a re-shaped wing/centre section, new radiator, engine, cockpit and various other details. Rigged with EZ Line.

Freaking GORGEOUS, Mike. Just gorgeous! How did you achieve the wood grain effects?

Thanks Mike. The woodgrain is just brown acrylic mixed with a glazing agent (to thin it and slow down drying time), coarsely brushed over a pale yellow base. Once dry I airbrushed over it all with a brown ink, which darkens it and unifies the colour. It's a really easy technique but quite effective.
