So the story so far.

Crew painted and in their places. Dryfitted the two halves and it's a bit of a squeeze, but it fits.

So what about the canopy. My first good look at the clear sprue BY AIRFIX!

OMG....

I can't be that lucky...no way.

Yes you can! Nicely crowded in there, looking great. Don't you love putting the fuselage halves together? One of my favorite parts :-)

I agree with you there. It's one of those points where it will make or brake the whole model.
That great relief when the fit is good...I love this hobby [thumb]

You know that little "snap" sound when something fits perfectly together? Love it!!! Hate the "pling" when the smallest part of the kit shoots of into space. How doesn't love this hobby... ;-)

Airfix really are improving there kits these days, that is a very clear canopy, good job it is too Nigel as you have made a beautiful job of the interior and crew.
I wish they would produce kits in 1/32 though, 1/24 is just a tad too big

Those pilots look a bit uncomfortable stuffed in there lol. Was is really that tight in there or are they a touch out of scale Nigel?

Not too sure about the scale, I think it is correct though.

Mike it was a very tight fit into these German Bombers like the Ju88 and the flying pencil. You certainly got to know one another very well.

Just a bit of a squeeze....probably why they were flown by teenagers [wink]

Cockpit looks great. That definitely looks like a tight fit. Both in your cockpit and in that picture.

That is a tight squeeze !

Thankfully wide bodied modern jets have made that sort of thing a distant memory
