Yes it does look good! Man that looks like a rather striking kit. Good looking panel lines and it looks like it fits really well. You're just making me want this kit more Nigel lol.

No fit issues at all. One panel line near the wing root are slightly off, but a fill and rescribe will take care of them. There are two pin marks that do need sanding down to get the trailing edge of the wings to lie flat, but that's nothing.

I've had a real good look at the pilots and although they are in the usual Airfix pose the detail is quite sharp. I wish they would make the arms seperate so they can be posed. Oh well beggers can't be choosers.

Mike....get this kit you will not be disappointed.

Hi Nigel,

the cabin of the Donier is...is... pfff... It's a 1:72 scale!!!!!!

Yes, I know, it's all about patience, a good magnifying glass... (and a sober kangaroo and a certificate [biggrin][biggrin][biggrin])... but... bufff... the quality of the details you get with this scale is... is... awesome mate...awesome.

Nigel, great work so far. I'm glad you are ahead of me, can find any flaws or hard parts with the kit for me [smile]

I'm going to try to mask up the canopies this weekend, didn't think of buying maks, didn't figure there would be any out yet.  I also agree about the pilots. Very basic and just there. I'm also thinking about trying to cut them up and reposition them a bit.

If I screw it up, I can just get new ones [smile]

More work on the Defiant, hanging out to dry. Cockpit has been covered as i shall be hand painting the canopy.

Working on turret, pilot painted and is a good fit in behind the guns.

Meanwhile the rest of the patients are in the waiting room...

Thanks for all your comments and for looking at the progress.

Underside painted and varnished.

Topside sprayed with Nato Brown with layers of progressively whiter thinner layers. Need to do a bit more bleaching after this dries as the model is too small to do a pre-shading.

Turret guns completed and Gunner in position.

Now for the rest of the camo, never done this with an AB before so i am now in no-man's land.

Looking good. Some nice progress you have going on there. Sometimes with the detail painting you're doing I forget that you're working in 1/72.

He even makes it hard for me to compete with him lol. I will admit that I do quietly compete  [wink]  especially when it comes to figures, and Nigel is as good as I am with them, if not better in some respects. I have yet to paint any figures in 1/72 and I can see I need to work on that. Particularly now that I have seen some of you even paint the patches on them!

Nigel, once again, excellent work mate.  [biggrin]
