Latest offering from Mike Jolly (at http://www.mjrmodelsandhobbies.co.uk/), just join his FaceBook Group 'Model Kits For Less' to start participating in getting discounted kits at great prices along with special limited offer deals like this one ... If he had not already clobbered my wallet severely this month I would have added this to my stash of Delta jets!

Airfix: A12007 1:48: Gloster Javelin FAW.9/9R RRP £49.99
MJR: £39.99 inc UK Hermes Post.

[a12007-gloster-javelin]

I'm sure Mike will also offer you a great deal for sending across the pond or down under.

Happy modelling,
Peter

This seems Really expensive to me for such a modest sized 1/48 kit,
especially when you can get an Eduard Phantom profi super kit for this kinda of money.

Airfix have been doing some great kits but sometimes their pricing
seems utterly arbitrary, to me at least, but then I am a peasant !! [biggrin]

Great discount though on the excessively high RRP price though [smile]

Hi Choppa Nutta,

Don't disagree with you on the pricing, but at least it is a 'New Tool' from Airfix rather than a rebox of an ancient kit with some new decals ... it is still around double the price of the Revell IDS Tornado (a superb value kit), or indeed the average good price I can find of an Eduard Limited Edition.

If however a Javelin is the one you want it represents the best possible option and not a silly price like the new SAAB Viggens.

Stay posted for lots more great prices as I find them,
Peter

Yeah I checked the reviews and to be fair it does look good but for me
when I think of what else the money gets me like the new Revell Spitfire,
I bought 3 for £16.50 each or the new tool dogfight double Spit & Schmitt 1/48,
I ended up with two of those for £15 each ! Bargain  [thumb]

I do know what you mean about old kits with decals though, I bought the
Airfix 1/48 Sea Harrier thinking it to be a new tool for some reason (the box
art probably [smile] ) and it wasn't, not even as good as the Tamiya one.

Mind you some people are prepared to invest heavily into their models
and no doubt we shall see some nice renditions of this kit [smile]

Cheers [smile]

Choppa you really, really need to go to Mike's Facebook Page 'Model Kits For Less' [comp] and ask to join, then you can get two of the latest Eduard Spitfire kits with mixed media extras for just under £28 delivered [thumb] ... honestely way better than the Revell and I could not get near this price even direct with my Eduard BunnyClub discount

Happy modelling,
Peter

Just finished driving back up to Scotland from Birmingham ... BUT YES, two full Eduard Spitfires for £27.99 delivered!

Go to Mike's Shop Webpage http://www.mjrmodelsandhobbies.co.uk/

In the middle of the home page you will find this and click the MODEL KITS for LESS

Join our NEW Facebook Phenomena..
over 5000 members now..
You will find it the best way to source your kits, figures etc
Share your experiences and learn new techniques too..

And it should take you to https://www.facebook.com/groups/271077163071577/

(I assume you already have a FaceBook account but if not just quickly sign up and use it to like Eduard, AMMO, AK, Aires, Wingman and many more)

Now click the 'Join Group' button on the top right corner of this page ... its a closed User Group so you will then need to wait a few minutes for Mike to accept your request

Once a member search for 'Eduard Spitfire' and it is currently the third post down or alternatively https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=1092228067458337&set=gm.438626949649930&type=1&theater should take you straight to it.

Enjoy,
Peter

Yeah that is a really good price for a great kit, unfortunately I've never
really liked the bubble top Spitfires even if the pilots did ! [biggrin]

Despite that, it is very tempting just because of the great price on this one [smile]

But anyhow, thanks for the links, I joined the group  [thumb]

You are very welcome Paul [wink]

Very glad you are now in a position to benefit from all of these great kit prices BUT you are going to have to build up a degree of resistance or your stash will get much bigger very quickly ...

Watch out too for the 'Limited Supplier' deals (bigger discounts) which you need to grab quickly if you want one cos they sell out very FAST! That is why I don't post these here as they would probably be unavailable when people tried this links hours on, I just post the great deals that are available for several days

Happy modelling,
Peter
