Building a P51d mustang and I thought I would give the Alcad high shine laquer a try. On the directions it advises that decal setting solutions are not advised. Has anyone had any experience with this combination? Or is painting on the decals the only answer?

I would welcome any feedback [smile]

Have not used any Alclad products myself, but surely someone here can help? seems like you could overcoat the lacquer with another gloss product to protect the Alcad but hopefully the real answer will appear here soon.

Hi Ted,

That's what I'm hoping. Good idea about the additional coat of something else to form a barrier. A gloss coat should do nicely.
