Cheers Fabian. Not 100% happy with some areas but nothing a little more base won't fix.

Looking forward to getting it finished now

First of all excuse the shitty white balance!

Also check out the cutting mat I was gufted from work!! [smile]

Got the base coat cleaned up, dialectic panels and nose done, anti glare panels and the leading edges on the elevators. Also got the exhausts done, not happy with the outer exhaust tough, a little too dark I think.

Next is bare metal service panels around the aircraft and some details underneath. Once that's done I can get some gloss down and work on the landing gear.

Fingers crossed it won't take much longer to get her finished, really loving this build again found a whole new enthusiasm for it.

Thank you. Really pleased with it so far. Sat working on the landing gear now.

I'm 80% sure I will get it finished!

80% sound like pretty good odds to me, good luck and don't forget to have fun!

Spent a good 5 hours on the mig tonight!

Got the exhausts lightened a little added a little blue and got them fitted, couple of coats of gloss then got the main decals down.

Got some painting of the undercarriage done whilst waiting for the gloss to dry.

I 100% intended to use the Russian markings but I managed to mess up both blue 16 and 73 because the decals are super thin I tore 16 and crumpled 73 beyond repair so I ended up going with the Kazakhstan red 23 which I actually thing looks really good on this aircraft.

You can see from the pics how well they are conforming already [smile]

So far I'm happy.

Each time I look back at your WIP I really appreciate the preshade and weathering that is adding so much to the overall color and realism!
