Wow, What a monster project. I will say this kit was a huge stretch of my abilities. This is the first group build I’ve ever been a part of, and I really liked watching others work come along. It was a nice driving force to keep going. Lots of other firsts for me with this kit, such as:

 1) First time working with Photo Etched parts

Daaaaymn, those parts are tiny. I’ve always thought it was just adding pre-painted parts. But the fold, hold, glue, etc.  Jury is still out if PE is worth it over just painting a nice cockpit [smile]

2) First time Resin.

Not too bad, just getting used to the cutting and filing and the mess that makes. Fun with superglue.

3) First time Oil wash

I’ve read this technic and seen Bob’s pin wash tutorial. I must say I’m pleased with how it turned out. Not a huge wreathing, but all the panel lines now pop and it has a more 3d feel.

Over all I enjoyed this build (now that it is over) but am looking forward to some simpler kits for a bit. I did learn a ton and took a lot of notes.
