On the 9 of September in 1980 on Barmby Moor in Yorkshire a Bell47G crashed whilst crop spraying at 50 knots and 4 feet of altitude due to a collapsed intake pipe from the airbox to the carburettor causing the "donkey" to stop. Shortly afterwards Geoff Mason, the farmer and owner of the helicopter whose fields were being sprayed, waddled over as fast as he could angrily shouting at my father as he pulled himself out of the mangled wreckage with only minor bruises and scratches only to be received by the words - "I told you to "f#@king" spray it not plough it !" XT831 Army Air Corps AAC Sioux AH.1 alt c/n was193, 1967 to 05apr77 to G-BENG G-BENG Reg to Geoff Mason, GSM Helicopters Ltd, Ripon, Yorkshire, w/o 24jun83 Crashed 9/9/1980 Barmby Moor whilst spraying pesticides on crops due to blocked carburetor. Sorry this final reveal is a touch late but I had a camera failure and have had to resort using my phone and I'm gutted about the image quality, hopefully you can see that I got the heli finished on time (just) from my build thread, please forgive me. time for a cuppa and then some sleep as that was one frenetic weekend to start and finish this Anyhow hope you all like and thanks for looking note the butterfly that fluttered into shot The tail fin from G-BENG. Section of the rotor blade given to me by my dad, The Money Shot went a bit limp because my phone can not take a decent picture, hopefully I can get my proper camera sorted out soon and do this one shot some justice Tried to do a photoshop colour match with the original photo, I think a second attempt is in order haha

Hi Paul, amazing last minute finish. You made this in one weekend? That's crazy and very typical, lol. Very well done and great story with it.

I love the way youve made the cockpit appear cracked. Very realistic.
