Cheers Pete, great to be back doing something that really relaxes me.
Just been reading up on leather painting and it seems that the first base coat is the most important. I'm going to give it a try and see if I can get the results that I'm looking for.

Nigel, you need a tiny little bit of red reflective (chrome/mirror) ribbon on the tip of that cig (not the entire tip though, just a little piece to catch the light). It will give the appearance that its lit.
